How Bachat Diary works
You can start in under three minutes. Here are the steps, from the first launch to your first monthly report.
1. Install the app
Download the Android app from bachatdiary.com, or open bachatdiary.com/app in your browser and add it to your home screen.
2. Enter your name and mobile number
Choose your language first. Then type your name and mobile number. Everything else is optional.
3. Add an expense in three taps
Tap the green plus, type the amount, choose what it was for and press Save. The item name is optional, and the app remembers whether you usually pay by cash or UPI.
4. Invite your family
Open the QR icon and send your Family Code on WhatsApp. They enter it on their own phones and see the same diary.
5. Keep a trip or the office separate
In My Books, create a book, press Share, and pick the people who may see it. People outside your family can join that one book with its Book Code and never see your home expenses.
6. Get your monthly report
Open Tools, then Report, and share the PDF or Excel file on WhatsApp or give it to your CA.
